Domana Rock Shrine:
This community based Eco-tourism project revolves around a massive rock outcropping near Kakum National Park. The, unusual looking rock formation has for a long time been part of the areas traditional belief system and a shrine from some the their spirits. When visiting the rock shrine you will be taken on a walk through the forest from the village with a guide to the shrine. There you will learn about its importance to the people and the rituals and celebrations that surround it. You will also get a chance to tour the community and meet the chief who is known for his hospitality and friendliness to visitors. If you need a little more action you can take another hike down to the river where you can take a canoe ride down the river and some small rapids.
